What to Expect During a Restylane Treatment

During your consultation, we’ll let you know if you need to temporarily stop taking any medications before the day of the treatment. You should also avoid anti-inflammatory drugs that can increase bleeding and bruising. We’ll give you a preparation plan beforehand so you can be ready on the day of the treatment.

Restylane treatment can typically be done in under 30 minutes, making it an exceptionally convenient option for busy patients. A numbing cream or topical anesthetic might be applied, but Restylane also has a built-in numbing agent to reduce any discomfort. Using a very fine needle, we’ll inject the treatment into your skin, massaging as we go and evaluating to determine if more injections are needed to achieve desired results.

Restylane Aftercare

Full results can usually be seen in a couple of weeks, after the filler has been given time to distribute and settle. Some light bruising and swelling for the initial recovery period is not uncommon. Results will usually last for up to 6 months, and follow-up appointments should be scheduled to refresh the treatment.
