Plastic Surgery Experts

As the aesthetic medicine field has progressed, fillers and treatments have become more advanced, allowing us to give you exceptional results without the need for invasive surgery. Juvederm® is a popular filler that has improved the lives of countless patients. At Modern Aesthetic, we are experts at using Juvederm to help you achieve the look you’ve been dreaming of.

What Is Juvederm®?

Juvederm is a type of filler that allows us to contour the face and reverse visible signs of the aging process. This filler is injected using a thin needle into the area being targeted, and it has a hyaluronic acid base, which is a substance that is produced by our bodies. This treatment is usually given in the face, and our expert team will work with you to learn about and complement your unique and beautiful facial anatomy and skin type. This procedure has become incredibly popular, and a huge number of patients have found long-lasting satisfaction with the results.

Who Is a Candidate for Juvederm?

As with any treatment or procedure, not everyone can be a candidate for Juvederm, but it is viable for most people. Candidates are 18 years are older and have experienced dissatisfaction or emotional distress due to visible symptoms of aging in the face. People who maintain a healthy lifestyle and don’t smoke are good candidates for Juvederm, as their bodies will be able to heal and show results faster. We’ll go over your medical history with you to make sure that you don’t have any allergies to components of the filler or any underlying conditions that might cause issues. Good candidates are also willing to be open with us and collaborate to figure out goals, expectations, and desired outcomes.

What to Expect During a Juvederm Treatment

Juvederm is a safe, minimally invasive treatment that can usually be done in under an hour. To avoid bruising and excess bleeding, you’ll want to avoid alcohol, smoking, and anti-inflammatory drugs before the treatment. Our team will tell you how to prepare.

After cleaning the targeted areas and marking them for injection, we will use a very fine needle to inject Juvederm, which promotes collagen production and helps the skin plumpen. While we are injecting the filler, we will also massage the treated skin to make sure that the product is being distributed well. Some discomfort can be expected, but it is almost always tolerable.

Juvederm Aftercare

After the treatment, you might experience some swelling, bruising, and/or soreness, but these should go away on their own within the first week or two. The recovery period for Juvederm is short and normal activity can be resumed almost immediately, but exercise, alcohol, makeup, and excessive exposure to the sun should be avoided for at least the first day of recovery. Results can last for up to two years and become fully visible for most patients after the swelling has gone down completely, which might take a few days.
